Passion and dedication are two important qualities to look for in an Instructor. When you reach the planning stages of training individuals as ATV/Quad Instructors, consider having the candidates strategically placed throughout the province/territory. This increases the availability of safety training to residents of the area. A selection process through the submission of completed applications is a means of evaluating interested individuals.
How to Become a CASI ATV RiderCourseSM Instructor
Teaching the CASI ATV RiderCourseSM is the responsibility of Instructors who are trained by Chief Instructors both of whom are certified by CASI. Instructor candidates must successfully complete the four day Instructor Preparation Workshop to become certified. The delivery of a high quality curriculum, consistently taught by qualified Instructors, is a goal of the All Terrain Quad Council of Canada and provincial/territorial rider federations. Standards of knowledge, skills, teaching techniques, personal ethics and safety behaviour are administered through the certification program. Certified Instructors are specially trained by certified Chief Instructors to conduct the 4 hour CASI ATV RiderCourseSM for riders six years of age and older. Standards and responsibilities for Instructor certification have been created to help assure that the CASI ATV RiderCourseSM is presented in a safe, efficient and professional manner. This being said, an instructor must be a proficient ATV/Quad operator. To acquire additional information regarding cost, specific requirements and location of training, contact your provincial/territorial rider federation.
